For more than 120 years, the spirit
of Joseph Bertrand, the Patriarch, has ruled the firm.
A spirit driven by thoroughness and enthusiasm, the secret of creating
these exceptional Bertrand eaux-de-vie. To celebrate 2000 with style,
we have created a prestigious collection of Alsace fruit eaux-de-vie done
up in 6 original sleeves faithful to the traditional spirit of Alsace's
illustrators.
We do not want to step into the new millennium without bearing witness
to a tradition that is the very essence of our wonderful occupation of
Alsace craft distillers.

 "Special
reserve" eaux-de-vie are exceptional.
These eaux-de-vie are only rarely produced when the year's weather conditions
provide the maximum of sunshine, energy essential to obtaining fruit bursting
with aromatic richness.
Distilling these eaux-de-vie is also highly selective, because
to make up the future bottle, we keep only the heart of the batch, the
very finest fraction, the most powerful and most complex in aromatic savour.
And lastly, ageing, essential to the blossoming of flavours, takes place
in small ash barrels, a white wood, guaranteeing the totality of the
eau-de-vie's characters, enabling slow ageing by respiration through
the pores of the wood.

A unique collection of rare vintage eaux-de-vie, made from fruit gathered
in 1982. Eaux-de-vie slowly brought to maturity in sealed containers to
preserve their authenticity.
The slow ageing gives our celebration eaux-de-vie an extraordinary
softness and the maximum aromatic concentration!
