History

This organic eau-de-vie is made with marc (what remains after grapes are pressed) of the most prestigious grape varietal in Alsace. Destemmed, then fermented and distilled, it reveals in the most ideal manner the complete aromatic palette of this noble grape.

    Production

    After fermenting what remains of the pressed grapes comes a smooth distillation before aging followed by dilution with water from Uberach.

    Rediscover the aromas of marc de Gewurztraminer via this rich, flavorful organic brandy. It reveals the musky aromas and notes of spice and roses. A final subtle note of licorice comes to awaken the taste buds.

    Serving

    The Bertrand Organic Marc de Gewurztraminer brandy should be served very cold, almost freezing. You can turn the glass, bumping the ice cubes against the crystal until it’s misty. After removing the ice and pouring the precious beverage, the perfumes of the marc waft delicately upwards, increasingly mellow. The brandy can also be tasted at room temperature, the glass warmed in the palms of the hands.

    It's the perfect companion for citrus and would elegantly accompany a lemon, grapefruit or orange sorbet.
